I want to put some Tech Sights on mine. Are these fixed price? Or is there anywhere on the internet that may have a better deal than the regular price?Leave a comment:

national-magazine-15-rd-
Has anyone used one of the National 15 rd clips for their 795??
Looks like everwhere is out of 10 rd clips and came across the 15rd in my searches
Not recommended. A number of different sources have reported more problems than anything else in getting them to work. save your moneyLeave a comment:

Have you been to Big 5? They regularly have the 10 round mags when I've been there.Leave a comment:

I used to have this issue. I saw that my bolt stop had the metal smashed on the tip of it where it contacts the bolt. I took a file to it and made it flat and the corner 90 degrees. I haven't had the problem since but not sure if you want to take the risk or if you even have the same problem I had.Leave a comment:

Either a Rimfire technologies Picatinny rail adapter, or better rings. So this last sat I finally shot the new 795. I Love it, sighted in the scope but had a problem. The rings moved back pretty far through out the day. The rings where super tight and loc-tited. They are walmart see thru with the walmart bushnell scope. Anyone have a fix for this?
The dovetail sucks on the 795.Leave a comment:

I just put a little dry lube, like graphite rubbed on from a pencil, on the breach bolt where it makes contact with the receiver to improve the sliding movement.
That's about it. No oil needed; just collects crud quicker.
.
Make sure your solvent doesn't eat plastic.
Pressurized air is good, wear safety glasses.
Pipe cleaners and hat pins work good for small crannysLast edited by otteray; 04-09-2010, 5:53 AM.Leave a comment:

since im a NEWB to guns and the 795 is soo easy to take-down could/would some one >Please< take thiers down, and take a few pics and show me where to oil it?
And also when cleaning it- What is the best way to get all the crap out? I recently bought a can of "air" for computer stuff, and some "Elite" spray solvent and am goin to give that a go tomorrow. but HOW do I get the gunk out of where patches, toothbrush, etc cant reach? I cant just wash it off with a hose and dry it Can I??? lmao I mean it just dont sound like a wise thing to do, beings water is generally a guns worst enemy...
Any suggestions appreciated, thanks yall.

I saw some where a few pages back that somebody had an Issue with thier Last-shot-bolt-hold-open feature.... My Marlin is in excelent shape but for that issue.
If someone has some advice, maybe i'm not oiling the right spot or not enough??
Thx for any feed back..Leave a comment:
