.22 ammo support group thread

I've noticed minimags popping up at Walmart more often.

Which walmart would that be.

I've also noted someone finally bought all of the $30 a box Kmart 500rd Winchester dynapoint bricks at my local Kmart!

Mini-mags started showing up at the local walmarts this morning, I took my wife along so I could pickup 12 bricks at a time. I was getting worried for a moment, because I was down to my last 4 bricks.

went to WW: nothing Big 5: nada finally my locat shop had a plastic box of rem target pack of 100 for $8 otd

I knew i shouldnt have waited till i was flat out to buy more.

It also depends on the time of day too, at my local Big 5s, the high demand ammo ie. handgun and rimfire, doesnt last more than an hour after opening. Same with Walmart, the ammo is gone by 11am.

complain to the STORE manager about it (name will be on your recipt)...IT IS A WALMART RULE FOR THE 6 BOXES...the sporting good dept guys tried to change ours in Yuba City to 2 and they had to change it back after complaints

Nice. I don't frequent that particular ceres store, so it's not a big deal..but if it starts happening I'll definitely complain at the store I go to.

I just heard this and haven't seen it with my own eyes, Turner's just knocked a dollar off their 333 Winny bricks, so they are now only $14.99.

Went to the Modesto 'sisk' walmart, they don't have the same restriction as the ceres walmart of 2 boxes per type/brand of ammo. You can still purchase 6 boxes of ammo, even if they are all the same.

How much is plenty? I have 10,000 rounds and feel nervous.

Enough so that I'm not in the market for .22

Didn't look at prices on the .22 (I have plenty). Couldn't avoid seeing the 223 prices though , friggin rip-off.

Their rules of thumb are to only sell the lowest quality of new firearm, optics and reloading equipment possible and combine that with the highest ammo and reloading component prices. True winning combination.

Are they overinflated prices? Did you see any bulk packs?

Marin Firearms is also overloaded with all kinds of ammo calibers but it's pricier than gold.
