Call big 5 or go in there and ask what days they get shipments in.. The one by my house (fremont) gets shipments friday mornings. Last time I bought 2 boxes of 525 remington golden bullets and I have been happy with that purchase.. They had a lot more too.. at least 6 more boxes.

    bi weekly trips?
Honestly, I have to call Wal Mart every day to get ammo updates just to snag some once a month. It seems like more work than it is. I usually just call on my commute home and see what they have coming in the next day. If you're not there by 7:30am the day they get it, it's gonzo.

The Wally world in Woodland has about 16 boxes of 22lr, 10 boxes of remington .223, and about 10 boxes of wwb 9mm.

the prices of the .22lr were $15.97 for the Winchester 22lr, $19.97 for the wwb 9mm and I didn't see the prices for the .223. Also, they have some federal .22lr in stock too.

    Hope this helps.

Funny how all the gougers in the ammo section are selling in lots of 6 or say they only have six to sell.

I found some 22 at the walmart last week but I didn't need any so I left it there.

Next time I see it I will get it and offer it here for the same price I paid as well as long as you either meet me by my house or work ...

    Kudos to yasushi

I found a hardware store in Rosamond, (Kern County)
that has .22 ammo sometimes, not too bad on
    price.

    I have been buying ammo
on line and have almost 10,000 rounds now!
Now, I can go though that in a few months
I love my Walther P22. Fun gun!

Good post, thanks for helping out. Too far for me to travel, but hopefully some people get the ammo they need.

That a very nice and thoughtful jester yasushi. I'm I happy to see that I am not the only one who feels the way about the WM ammo gougers. Kudos to you sir.

    $11.47 Federal Bulk in O.C.

If you are looking to pick up more ammo to re-sale, this post does not concern you. Just move on.

OK, I found 6 more boxes of Federal bulk packs at the local WM last night and I'm offering them up for sale to offset the scalping that's been going on. I'm not doing this to make money or win favors, just trying to help out the local plinkers.

They are Federal 375rd packs and I paid $11.47 + tax (8.75%) so $12.47 each. Maximum of two packs per person. Exact change in cash please.

One catch, to discourage re-selling of these ammo I'll open the box at the time of sale and tearing off the box top.

PM me and you can pick it up at my work (Costa Mesa) between 6am-3pm M/F or at home (Mission Viejo) 5pm-9pm. Sorry no shipping.

    Thanks
    Richard S.

They only get one case in so they only sell me 2 boxes. That's all they say. I always ask but it's a no go.

Why? Is it because some Walmarts only let you buiy two bricks at a time in the 6 box limit? I've heard of that but have not seen it locally.
