Brimstone builds fine triggers. I have a 2 stage that just rocks and a single stage I'm waiting for a rifle to put it on. Find him on Rimfire Central

If I was building a precision target gun, I'd buy something else.

Also the auto bolt release is awesome.

+1 Here for the BX. This thing is great, it really is night and day. Almost no take up, it breaks very quickly. There is some over-travel and I couldn't compare the break to my Geissele but this thing was 50 bucks, not 350 bucks. I love it. If you're on the fence, buy it before the sale is over. This is going to be great for the kids also. My girls have to double finger the factory trigger, they're going to love this.

I have a Kidd two stage in my dedicated target 10/22 and its awesome. When I built up a Appleseed/Tech Sight style rifle I wanted a little heavier trigger, but not stupid O/G 10/22 heavy, and the BX trigger worked out well for me. BTW my full KIDD 10/22 is no slouch, but it is less accurate than my CZ 452. Just sayin'.

Instead of the files I will use the stone, if I screw up I will buy the BX trigger set.

Edit: Follow the youtube above I did three 10/22 triggers (two of mine one of my friend) from 6# - 6.5# down to 3# - 3.5# . Tools investment:
            - https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...6FFAPO30&psc=1
            - https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...?ie=UTF8&psc=1

            - I had a Dremel but I like this one, it is small, light and fit my hand https://www.harborfreight.com/rotary...-pc-63235.html
And I polished every sides of : The Hammer, the sear, and the part next to the sear.
With the tools I invested, I will polish the feed ram, sears, hammer, trigger bars, …. and whatever I can think of all of my guns.

Edit: I just did three more for my friends , 3.5#-2.5#, and I rework on one of mine down from 3.5# to 2.5#.

Ekkthree, I really think it depends what you want to do. I have a couple bx, I also simply replaced the hammers in 3 others. I don't compete, just want best accuracy bang for buck. I like the BX and if you are like the other 99%of us, you will too.

I'm thinking of doing the bolt release. How does that work once it's installed?

                  Thanks.
Auto bolt release works the same as original when you lock the bolt back.
But to release the locked back bolt, all you have to do is pull the bolt handle back slightly and let it go to release the bolt and chamber a round.
Note that if the rifle is dropped with a auto release, the bolt may release.
So strictly speaking, the original design is safest.
                  Awkward, but safest.
