The 455 Combo is pretty much a no brainer at the moment. But since I already have a Wincester 190, I may wait for the Tikka T1x to come on the market.

I use the CZ 455 in 17 HMR. Great rifle! I've shot quite a few round squirrels with it!

These links may help you out if you have an FFL that will receive ammo at a decent/none fee.

List of vendors that will ship ammo to CA FFL

Pretty complete list of current pricing from vendors that sell ammo.
17 HMR ammo as low as 21¢ per round. Top brands available. Cheap bulk .17 HMR ammunition for sale. Save money on in-stock ammo.

I have found that Selway Armory has very good pricing on 17hmr. If you buy a case, 40 boxes of 50 rounds, then you can take advantage of their free shipping offer.

        free shipping code
Use coupon code FREESHIP300 when checking out to get Free Shipping on orders over $300.
I agree that different barrels prefer different rimfire ammo, but I think it might be best to buy in bulk to make it worth buying online, if there are FFL fees.
        good luck

I have a Savage 93R17 that really likes the Hornady 17gr V-Max loading. Midsouth Shooters Supply has it for $8.59/box all the time. If you buy a 2000 round case, the price per box drops to $8.45. They used to carry more variety but only seen to have the Hornady right now. https://www.midsouthshooterssupply.c...archterm=17hmr
