Not into cowboy action or western garb but couldn't resist getting holster for my Heritage. If I knew how easy it was to change the cylinders I would have gotten a conversion long ago.

I fortunately own a Colt SAA “New Frontier” in .22Mag with a .22LR cylinder. If I were you and in the market, that’s what I’d be shopping around for in good condition. Pure joy to shoot and handoff to my boy one day.

Had one like Toms but STEEL frame, which are hard to come by. Inherited a Single six C&R so sold the HRR to gun store in NV.

Blems from KY Guns $171 no CC fees 22/22mag. also have the non case colored frame revolver for less.

Got my blem Birds head grip 22/22mag fer $149.00.

I looked a long time for a steel frame and finally gave up and bought that one.

Yeah my FFL researched and found it, said hard to find but, I'd like it better!

Not sure if they even make a steel frame anymore.

They are fine for what they are, plinker, snake gun, etc. Customer Service took care of an issue for me so no complaints there either.

So a HRR in a >6in barrel would be more ideal for 22mag?

You might look around for something like this, they sold out of their "blems" very quickly.

I was tempted due to price, the fiber optic front and adjustable rear sights but hesitated too long. Already have a Single Six which is like NIB and a C&R, plus picked up a "blem" RR with Birdshead grips 22/22mag 3.5 bbl last year fer $145.

Just another option to look for, and KY will ship to CA.

                  Added from Grabagun:

Link to new HHR same as above blem.

Life was simpler, and more honest, when revolvers and lever actions were the rule.
