Smith and Wesson Model 41 Performance Center

I heard you can buy a new 41. All you have to do is file a Olympic exemption, and a FFL that would agree to do it.

You can buy them all day long, along with a bunch of other Olympic Pistol Exemption pistols

You will never, in your life, have a chance like this again.
If I were you, I would not pass this up. I would not let this go by...this is rare.

The S&W Model 41 is exempt from CA unsafe handgun laws [PC 32105(c)] and CA assault weapons laws [PC 30515(d)(3)].

So, they are legal to import and transfer from a CA FFL dealer.

There are stories floating around that some FFLs will not DROS this as an Olympic exempt pistol because the specific model number listed on the Roster does not match the model number put out by S&W. Something about it being listed as M-41 on the Roster but Model 41 on the pistol.

There is no "Olympic exemption" to file.

They are roster exempt similar to SA's.

            100% correct.

S&W’s own site, and even Gun Genie, list all 3 versions (5.5”, 7”, PC) as CA legal to transfer, but there are dealers who I’ve contacted who won’t do the transfer because of the M-41/Model 41 thing.

True... but I heard you can buy a used 41 for less dough.

I've been eyeing one years. Just not convinced that it's worth it.

Got mine from GunBroker. Just have them transfer to an FFL that will accept it.

For those that own the 41.... if you had to shoot a ruger 22/45 and the 41,
What would be the group size difference you could shoot at 25 yards?

Are they that much more accurate?
Rule 1- ALL GUNS ARE ALWAYS LOADED

Rule 3 -KEEP YOUR FINGER OFF THE TRIGGER UNTIL YOUR SIGHTS ARE ON THE TARGET

Rule 4 -BE SURE OF YOUR TARGET AND WHAT IS BEYOND IT

Impossible to find new ones. Been looking for years. I once got an email notification from Buds that they got some. I immediately went to their website and by the time I entered my credit card number, they had already sold out. It must've only been 3 to 5 minutes for them to sell out.

The SW 41 is great. I own one, but my neighbor kept beating me at Bullseye with his high Standard. I bought A HIGH STANDARD at auctions from Little Johns and Carol Watsons, now I beat my neighbor. The High Standard space gun is way better than a SW41....way better. Better Trigger, better balance, less jams, and less muzzle flip.

                              Less cost too.
