Its my first 22 auto handgun, I thought it was a good deal. I would have loved to get the model linked in the OP. I'll sure add that one to the list.
How do you like your? Any ammo dos and donts ?It takes a lot of balls to play golf the way I do.

I like it, great for practicing. It's not my favorite gun but it's an extra gun that I throw in the bag every time I go shooting. The only ammo I've run through it has been blazer bulk and cci mini mag and standard which work great. Federal champion automatch does not cycle well in my buckmark or my marlinsigpicComment

It seems like my model suppose to come in a Browning rug, at list it is on Browning web site.
I jst check Turners and only four left. So, people are buying it.sd_shooter:

I'm liking the Vortex Venom for glass on this BM. I've been real happy with Vortex glass.
Im going to play golf again tomorrow, if I'm able to make 18 holes without falling down in pain, I'm buying a new driver and the glass is going to have to wait.
Wish me luck.
Thanks for the good read, you guys convinced me that this was the right 22lr SA for me, my son and my grandson. It takes a lot of balls to play golf the way I do.

Yep, they are a sweet gun! The Contour URX model Buckmark comes in a nice Browning gun rug. It won't fit in the plastic box that most of the others come in.
Too bad that they only come with one magazine. It's good to have two or three extras. DO NOT buy the ProMag replacements! Only use the factory Browning magazines if you want to avoid feeding problems.Last edited by Eyelawdoc; 04-10-2018, 8:02 PM."If you don't know where you're going, you might not get there." -Yogi BerraComment

I already went to the range, tried and sighted. She was really off like 4" low on 7 yards and 2" to the right (still need to move half of a inch to the left). Now she is good. Had some minor issues with FTE, I think it is ammo, Federal 40 grains regular velocity (1200 f/s).

Does anybody know source for Fiber Optic front sight for contour? Looks like member Rusty22 used to make them, but he doesn’t show up for 2 month here.sd_shooter:

Nice looking pistols. I noticed on the web site there are quite a few models they discontinued. Anyone know why?Comment

I am the OP on this thread. I ended up buying the Buckmark UDX. I took it to the range yesterday for the first time. Shoots great! I find the fiber optic sight makes it much much more accurate than my S&W 617 revolver (but then again, maybe it's the fact that the Buckmark is just so much lighter too).Comment

Congrats! Buckmark is a fine accurate shooter. I'd take a screw driver with you to the range though. The take-down screw on top of the slide loosened up for me after shooting about 50-75 rounds.Comment

Sure.... why not? (Everyone needs at least one semi-auto in the stable.
)
Devil's advocate
May take some time... but after the novelty wears off, chances are you'll find the Buckmark has nothing on a good revolver... from capacity to accuracy.
E.g., the S&W 617 10-shot.
EDIT: OP, I see you have a 617. I find the heft of the 617, plus it's SA trigger really helps with accuracy (add an FO front). Give the Buckmark more trigger time, then compare again.
But to be fair, you gotta find the favorite ammo of both
