Anyone have experience w/ Aquila Interceptor 22lr

Aguila Ammunition Interceptor .22LR Ammo, solid or hollow point, in a revolver?

Could these be a problem for an AirLite Smith & Wesson?

Thought I should ask before trying them, Thanks

My 10/22 and my GSG 1911 love those rounds.

They kick a bit more (inasmuch as .22lr kicks) than Aguila's standard velocity (ultrasuperextra?), but that's the only difference I notice.

Yes, you CAN fit a case of shotgun shells into a .50cal ammo can.

I think i found an optimal solution for ammo can labeling.

I made this target for the NRA's Marksman pistol test. I think it's a lot better than the paper plate they suggest.

I have shot them in semi auto, bolt/lever rifles and the accuracy is not as good as HV ammo or CCI Stingers. YMMV.
You'll have no trouble with your Smith. VERY noisey tho.
If this is a self defense use I'd run Aguila SSS (60 grains).

Is it okay to shot these in the Ruger 10/22?

Have not heard of these Aguila SSS 60gr.

SSS 60's are a subsonic load.
Long heavy bullet on top of a 22 short case = 22lr OAL.
They travel slow, but hit like a hammer.
The round's ballistics is like a rain bow out of a rifle. Really drops fast past 80 to 100yds and they usually won't cycle most semi autos.
I modded my 10/22 so it will cycle reliably. Non-modded 10/22 wouldn't cycle these.
The twist rate works best @1/9 to properly stabilize. Most 1/16 twist 22's will keyhole these, but some will shoot O.K. YMMV.

I found the interceptor to be less accurate (shot much wider groups) than the CCI Velocitor.

The SSS keyholed in my 22 rifles and my Buckmark

I have a few 22 semi auto rifles. Some ammo shoots well in some guns, some don't. I bring several brands when I am shooting a new gun and figure out it's diet.

                  No.
Steel inserts for the chambers and barrel is a steel sleeve iirc.

They cycle as good or better than CCI mini mags in my 10/22 never had a jam with either.

It's the most powerful .22 out there as far as penetrating hard targets goes.

The Eley primers are really powerful, I'd only trust these and CCI velocitors in round nose for a self defense round.

For defense .22's need all the penetration possible and you get less if they expand, this guy has the best video's on .22 ballistic gel tests.
