I've shot lots of Aguila ammo in several calibers including 22lr without issue---I fail to understand your label as "total garbage"---I've shot it thru several 10-22s, an old Belgium Browning 22-Auto, my Nylon 66 and an old Colt Peacemaker revolver---all just fine...

That's the Eley priming compound. It's the smell of reliability.

I don't think I'd go as far as calling it "high end". It shoots OK for ammo that's the same price or cheaper than bulk ammo, so it's a good value. It's not better than CCI SV, which costs a little more, but still not close to high end.

I posted this on another thread discussing Aguila Super Extra. They're only single groups, one full box, but with enough rounds to get an idea about what to expect. For me, it usually gives me a flyer that will mess up a good string of groups.

from my experience any 22lr is great, except maybe the winchester super x, but again it depends on the gun. My Henry and Rough Rider will shoot anything!

1750 fps Aguila is awesome ammo. So are the 60 grain super snipers.

I shot a couple bricks of Aguila. I found it a credible plinking ammo but no good for any serious work. I pass on the cheap stuff, but that is a personal choice. It is not a "good deal" if it does not meet one's needs.

I like Aguila ammo, I consider it mid grade. I especially like their Pistol match ammo, it wont be 4 cents a round but still very affordable, about 50 a brick give or take depending on where and when.
