    50 yard 22lr rifle

Hello, my local gun club as a 22lr 50 yard competition. I want to buy a 22lr to compete. I am not trying to spend 1000's of dollars and this is a friendly competition. Trying to spend under $450.00 not including an optic.

    Anybody got any advice?

    Thanks

I believe many people will recommend a CZ rilfe -- like a 455 Varmint or a 455 Tacticool.

I do not have one yet, but hope to get one soon.

What type of shooting? bench rest? standing?

The more stable the position the more the results will depend on the cost of the rifle.

The savage mk2 heavy barrel models are pretty decent in that price range.

also - 22lr is RIMFIRE, ie other sub-forum

I'd go with CZ if you are on a tight budget, and Anschutz if you have a bit more to spend.

              Sorry, I didn't know there was a rim-fire page.
Bench rest, but only a bi-pod or front block is allowed. No shooting sleds.

Anschutz and lie to your wife about how much it costs.

I don't think you could do any better in your price range.

This. CZ452 trainer while not tacticool is a shooter.

I'd agree with the CZ 455. I currently shoot a Savage MKII BV in our precision match and it does OK, but I will be switching to a CZ455 in MPA chassis as funds permit. In the price range, I don't think the 455 can be beat.

I got my son a savage fvsr a few years ago. Absolute tack driver. Savage bolts are priced really well and super accurate.

They're not liberals, they're leftists. Please don't use the former for the latter. Liberals are Locke, Jefferson, Burke, Hayek. Leftists are progressives, Prussian state-socialists, fascists. Liberals stand against the state and unequivocally support liberty. Leftists support state tyranny.

I would look for a used rifle like a Remington 513T a 37 or a Winchester 52 for Benchrest shooting.
