I ordered the 12 ammo cans from palmetto armory and I got a bag of desiccant packages. This should keep things nice in dry for a while. I live just outside of Sacramento so I don't get to much humidity.

When did you order? I put my order in on 7/1 and they printed a label on 7/7 but still hasn't reached UPS yet.

I ordered mine on 6/30 and another order on 7/1. Both shipments should be in today.

          How I store my hoard:
.22 in the original box (easier to identify), stacks neater, no bent rounds.
Put those boxes in a quality plastic (Cabela's ammo can/MTM ammo crate or can) or Milspec metal ammo can. I hate the Plano brand. Plastic is thin and I've snapped the handle off 2 of them.
Throw in a reusable dessicant. Not really necessary unless you're near a body of water or it's humid. Cheap insurance and reusable - pop them in the toaster oven for 3 hours.

I keep an inventory list, because I'm organized like that (or I have so much crap I can't rememberl). I label the cans, too, with what's inside.

You can never have enough .22's. It's the one round I can't reload. I need to stack up some 22WMR, too.

I'm not having a glass of wine, I'm having SIX. It's called a tasting and it's classy.

^^^ I agree, even if storing indoors with constant AC conditions.

As of today, I don't care how do I store ammo for long time, I am more care about the balance of my credit card.

Does UPS have the package? My shipping label was created on 7/7 and was scheduled for delivery 7/11 but they still don't have the package so the delivery date was taken off and I haven't heard anything from PSA (sent email and called but no one answered).

I've ordered from PSA for a few years and this is a first.

YES, just check with UPS website with tracking #, the status is : In Trasit Ontime.

Got it today (Tue Jul 18), the whole package is intact, the UPS man treat it with care.

I sent PSA a message on Sat and received an email Monday that it was kicked up to a supervisor. UPS sent me an email today that I have a package scheduled for delivery tomorrow from PSA, 68lbs. So I guess my original order fell thru the cracks and they printed a new label and shipped out yesterday. 2 days for a big package isn't too bad.

I store mine in the dirt berm behind my targets. I may get caught out but I do not think that will happen.

I have American eagle I paid $8 something for a brick back maybe in earlier 90's , sitting in a foot locker. I get some of it out once in a while ..... still runs great.
Most of the newer stuff is in ammo cans but that foot locker stash is the oldest ammo I bought when it was new ammo

Condensation can occur inside of metal cans, suggest adding packets of desiccant to absorb moisture and maybe using a food vacuum seal system to seal stacks of boxes in.

Up to 25K or 30K now, another 10K before year-end should do me for awhile.
