    Bulk CCI SV and MM?

I decided to try a bulk bag of CCI Standard Velocity and CCI 40 grain MiniMags to see how the quality stacks up with the box/sleeve versions . I figured at 5.5 cent/round, they're probably no worse, and potentially a lot better, than cheap bulk boxes of Winchester/Remington/Federal ammo . I bought one bag each, 200 rounds per bag @ $10.99, with my order of 4 -50 round boxes of Federal HST 9mm.

They have flat rate shipping ($12.99), so I just threw the bags it on top of my order to try, rather than buying a bunch and crossing my fingers.

If it arrives before my next range trip, I'll report back.

Me too. That's why I'm only trying a little of each.

Thank you for contacting Mass Ammo. The CCI 22LR bulk ammo is repackaged and sold at a reduced cost due to its original packaging being damaged during shipment. This item comes to us from the distributor already repacked and ready to be shipped.

Feel free to let me know if you have any questions!

This ammo stored 200 rds in plastic bag, the base of ammo had the "C" logo as the other CCI ammo. I shoot 800 SV rds already through:
            - Buckmark
            - Ruger Mark II
            - Marlin 60Sb rifle
            - Henry lever rifle
None of them had problem so far.
(I just ordered 4K SV and 4K HV more, to prepare for 1118 , this "no-name" ammo seem much better than the Aguila SV onsale now)

Here the SV ammo pictures, I think it's a CCI but I don't know which type. 5 cents for CCI it's a bargain (I just get back from a vacation my credit card is filled up otherwise I will order some K more).
From left to right: The noname ammo, Blazer, CCI SV, CCI MM. (I mark the Blazer with one blue line, CCI SV with two blue lines).

Well I'm in for 1600 rds of the 40 gr HV.

Just curious, how does one tell the diff between 40 gr. "Blazer" and Mini-mag? Website offered no distinction.

I was thinking of getting the 40gr. HV, but after looking at the specs of the 40 gr HV LRN it looks like they are probably CCI Blazers and not MM. MM are Copper plated and Blazers are not, and both have a muzzle velocity of 1235FPS.

I haven't done an accuracy test between the Blazers and MM, but both have been very reliable in my rifles and pistols.

Still, CCI 22LRs @.05-.06 is a good deal.

Good point. The descriptions are to vague to tell much, which is why I went with one bag each to test. Mine should arrive by next Friday according to tracking, so I'll report back then.

So... they're ordering their ammo from Midway?

MM have a copper wash bullet, Blazer has black or gray bullet.

Blazers are good gear. Most accurate & reliable bulk going, IMO.

^^^^Thanks. Both run well in all my rimfire conversions, and at a nickel a shot, I'll take either one.

Oh come on, that's a big assumption.

We all think Midway ammo is damaged during shipping, but in reality, there's no real way to tell if it happened during shipping, during packing, or even before that. For all we know, Midway is getting their ammo from the same place as Mass Ammo and just pouring it into the shipping box with a mix of broken plasitic and torn cardboard boxes. That additional service could account for their shipping and handling fee.

Sounds good, I remember you posting some really nice grouping pics before, so you would be a pretty good judge of accuracy.....No pressure.
...Not being sarcastic, and if I didn't just put $$ down on a Marlin 60 and Henry H001T lever I would get some of these.

                            Bulk CCI

5 bags of each. Just keep stacking it deep, though the bags won't stack so well. LOL

They'll fill an M2A1 can pretty efficiently I would think.
