Tube Fed .22 Rifle

I owned a Marlin 39a. A very fine rifle that I still regret selling. It held 19 rounds of .22lr in the tube.

I have Ruger .22 rifles now (both the 10/22, and the bolt-action Ruger American Rimfire, but those are magazine fed.

In addition I also have a Remington 552 Speedmaster. It's a nice rifle, has nice heft to it, and I like that it's an old-school blued metal and wood kinda gun. It holds 15 rounds in the tube and is advertised as the only semi-auto .22 that can handle .22LR, .22Long, and .22shorts (although I've never tried anything other than .22LR in it)

Main thing I dislike about it is that there's no bolt hold-open mechanism, and the ejection port is so tiny (and partially obscured by the brass deflector) that cleaning it can be a challenge (unless I want to disassemble it).

For some reason "tube fed" makes me automatically think of the tube being under the barrel and not through the stock, although I have a few of those - Browning SL22, Winchester 63. The Browning lever rifle is tiny as heck and great fun with a Redfield 3/4" tube scope on it. Pump actions haven't gotten much mention. Henry makes one, I have a BPR with a little Redfield scope and IIRC it does about 15 LR.

BTW, the "Winchester 63" made by Browning can still be found for a pretty good price and it comes with a grooved receiver.

Gotta be a Henry .22LR lever action! Quality craftsmanship, smoothest action, no jams, feeds all kinds of ammo, and likelihood that Henry's "best in the business" customer/warranty service will ever be needed.

Any, or all, of the above will meet your needs. I don't have a Henry.....yet, but I have the 60, BL-22, and SA-22. All are 30+ years old without a single issue.
