Can I legally purchase this rifle from out of state to a local FFL? Thanks in advance for any info.

Yes, but the magazine has to be a 10-rounder. And make sure that the selling FFL ships to CA.

Where are you located? I might be able to help direct you to a shop that has that rifle in stock depending on your location. FYI, I tried some of the FFL's here at CGN and they were not helpful at all - did not reply to my e-mails and calls. Supposedly they gave stellar service to some members but my experience was quite the opposite.

I'm located in Temecula but can go to OC and SD area if needed. I've asked an online dealer on gunbroker and they do ship to CA but I needed to find local FFL that's willing to accept the transfer. Any help on locating this will be greatly appreciated.

I just bought one of these off Gunbroker and had it shipped to my local FFL in Ventura County. I can give you the information for it if you'd like. They were amazingly friendly.

I just put my A5 model in jail for 10 agonizing days..Murrieta, CA area. Got a good price for it too- $330 + $87 Transfer/Dros/Tax..so $417 OTD.

Walther made a G36 version in .22LR. look that one up too. i havent see one in CA yet.

G36's are all I've been seeing in a few Inland Empire Big5's; now that MP5's are all gone.

(Speaking of MP5's, the jailbreak date is just around the corner for mine, maybe I can use the superbowl to distract my attention thru the weekend?..)
