    New Red Dot sight

I bought this little red dot sight from Amazon for my Beretta Neos 22. It was only $20 and I had a $25 GC that i got from work so I said what the hell I'll give it a try for free.

Turns out I really like it. In fact I'm ordering a second one for my wife's Ruger 22/45 Target.

    Yes you can have 2 C&R 03 FFL's; 1 in California and 1 in a different state.

I've seen these on shotguns and they take the recoil surprisingly well.

I had one before and it worked just fine, especially indoors. I had it mounted on my S&W M&P 15-22. On bright days at an outdoor range, however, I could barely see the dot/image. I ended up getting a Bushnell TRS 25 to replace it.

For the price, it offers great value. Enjoy it more.

look like they would be good enough for a 22LR, I have a sightmark on my 10/22 and love it, but it was 4x that cost, around $70.

A friend of mine has one similar to this one and said the same thing. I do most of my shooting indoors so this should work fine for my use.

Very happy with mine - have well over 3000 rounds through it now and zero issues. Never tried this reflex sight with any other caliber, but for 22lr it is just fine.

I had a similar Barska on my 22/45. 100% awesome-tivity for quick fire mag dumps even with bad eyes. The dot was too big for any sort of precision bullseye stuff but that's not what they're made for.

Why not try the one you have on the 22/45 before ordering another? I put one on mine, and it sat too high and threw off the balance. The TRS-25 is lighter and sits lower, which is what I have on mine. That one sits in my box of stuff, and I occassionally lend it out to people who want to see what a dot sight is like before buying one.

                  I thought about that.

But, i figured that if my wife doesn't like it I have a back up for when mine goes out.

Just to let you picture the difference, here's a pic of your sight on the left (random pic from the web) and the TRS-25 on the right (my 22/45). I did my best to scale the pics for a decent comparison. The dot will sit pretty noticeably higher, and way higher than the open sights; the TRS dot is only slightly higher than the open sight. The higher center of gravity, magnified by the extra 1/2 oz of weight, has a noticeable effect on balance. The sight won't need to be mounted as far forward as in this pic, but it will need to be forward enough of the open sight to clear the controls.

You won't have to worry about your sight going out. I loaned mine to my friend to try on his shotgun, and he shot a ton of 00 buck and slugs with no problem.

That looks about as high as it does on my Neos. I'm good with that so long as my wife is good with that.

I've seen different reviews of people that have used this sight on guns larger than 22's with mixed results. If my wife doesn't like it I might send it back. Only time will tell.

She may like it, compared to the open sights. To me, it felt like the sight picture was so detached from the weapon, that it felt like I was playing Xbox. Not the same shooting experience. Didn't feel natural holding the weapon at nose, rather than eye level.
