My 22/45 does not cycle Aquila Super Extra rounds at all.
But does not have a problem with any of the previously listed rounds. Although I have never tried that Russian steel stuff.

Has the Remington 22lr ammo changed for the better? I haven't used any in a lot of years because of how absolutely terrible it was. Now I'm talking 15-20 years since I've use their 22.

I've shot one a a half buckets of Remington Golden Bullet in my Buck Mark and M&P15-22 recently and had quite rare FTF, around 1/300. The only problem is that awful paint.

Thunderbolts, on the other hands, are awful.

Winchester will barely fit in the cylinder of my revolvers. Especially once the cylinder gets dirty...

Check to see if the serration band on the bullets have been smoothed down. I've had a couple boxes for which the band was not smoothed out or "sanded". They would bind in the feed lips of the magazine and cause the round to "flip" during the feed process.

Those got donated at the range to whomever was happy to use em up in a bolt action.

Nope. None of that. They simply did not have enough power to cycle. Brass never got stuck. Either it would still be in the chamber or not. But the bolt never opened enough to catch the next round from the mag.
I went back and forth between manufacturers and only the Aguila would do this.

IDK but I have experiment one issued and that's the Federal American Eagle Fun pack 40 rd box. I bought about 6 box during the shortage was going on @ Dicksporting. I was sighting my Marlin Model 60 with the Simmons 22 mag 3-9x32 rimfire rifle scopes until it wouldn't FTF AND FTE. So about 70% of the time this brand was doing FTF AND FTE that cost me to used my Marlin 60 as a bolt action Single shoot. Luckily I bought some other brand 22 with me that day too and they perform well with no issued. I have only a few rounds from the American Eagle that did cycle ok but more was jamming.

that stuff is accurate but the case gets stuck just about everytime.

they get the "Mixed" bag of the leftover 22 that i havent had time to reorganize
but that is a great thought.
they are outgrowing their rascals and moving on the 10/22

Me thinks there was enough friction between the breech and the casing to delay the bolt.

                          1. clean that breech
                          2. examine the rims of the spent casings - look where the extractor grabbed it.

                          3. wouldn't hurt to examine the bolt either - though I don't expect much here since other ammo cycles just fine.

                          =8-)
Federal game shok was noticeably more powerful while shooting by far compared to the super extra and they are not rated any higher. I think someone is fudging their numbers.

I hate Golden Bullets, Thunderbolts, and M22 for the terrible accuracy I get. I hate Winchester bulk for the constant FTF.

I am down to exclusively buying Fed AutoMatch and Fed Champion for bulk and CCI MiniMags and Standard Velocity when I can find them for reasonable price.

Anything else is saved for my kids. Their Cricketts eat everything. I do have a few bricks of American Eagle I need to try, sounds like it might go in the kids' stash.

My guns shoot those just fine.

The only problem I have had is with the Thunderduds!!!
Too many duds, and a few squibs! Never again!!!

It's not my guns...they work great! It is the ammo.

                                Take care
