Where are you finding this to be true? Forgive me if this has already been discussed...my work has been super busy and I've only been able to touch-and-go on these new laws. I'm working off of this:

    30345. (a) Commencing January 1, 2018, only an ammunition
vendor who is licensed by the Department of Justice shall be
authorized to sell ammunition in this state, except as provided by
Article 5 (commencing with Section 30360).

What you're describing is I order from SGAmmo, and have them ship to an FFL that's also an authorized ammunition vendor. Vendor then ensures the FTF transfer. However, the sale still took place out-of-state which (to me) places this in conflict with the new law.

Let me know where I'm off so I can stop spreading my own FUD.

I always ask for details when I hear FUD like this. Ask them what is the bill that pertains to what they are saying. When they don't know or guess wrong then you correct them and ask them to stop spreading misinformation. Tell them to do their research because EVERYONE has the internet these days and the facts are just a few clicks away. Then slap them for good measure.

        (a) The sale, delivery, or transfer of ammunition may only occur in a face-to-face transaction with the seller, deliverer, or transferor being provided bona fide evidence of identity from the purchaser or other transferee, provided, however, that ammunition may be purchased over the Internet or through other means of remote ordering if an ammunition vendor in this state initially receives the ammunition and processes the transfer in compliance with this article, Article 3 (commencing with Section 30345), and Article 4 (commencing with Section 30355). An ammunition vendor is required to promptly and properly process those transactions. An ammunition vendor may charge a fee to process the transfer not to exceed ten dollars ($10) per transaction. An ammunition vendor is not required to house ammunition orders longer than 30 days.

Here is section of the new law as it is currently written. The section you need to reference is "that ammunition may be purchased over the Internet or through other means of remote ordering if an ammunition vendor in this state initially receives the ammunition and processes the transfer.

In addition, the actual purchase did not take place out of state because you don't officially own it yet. Until you go through your local FFL and do the paperwork, it's not yours. Just like if I purchase a rifle off of gun broker. While I paid for it, its still not mine until the paperwork and 10 day wait is done here. If for some reason you order ammo and you don't pass the process to receive it, the vender will send it back on your dime (if they will even accept it as all sales of ammo are normally final) and the process of getting your money back will be between you and the person you ordered it from, not the local FFL. In other words, if there might be a question as to your approval on an ammo transfer, don't order any off the Internet yourself. Go into your local FFL and have them order it for you.

Being in a wheelchair, I will assert the delivery forced to the FFL is a violation of my little used handicap rights. I was getting it delivered to my door and shooting out front of the house. Now I am forced to find a way to the store.

ADA lawsuit at least would have a chance of waking a few of them up.

I'm still stocking up, more than ever.

Some online stores offer sales to states where ammo purchase requires a license. All they ask is to send a copy of your license with ID.

Guess they can also apply for a permit in CA to be able to keep selling to us. After all we are the ones paying the highest prices.

Until the day a vendor opens its doors in CA and starts selling at reasonable prices much lower then I can find at the local stores.

The state has accomplished several goals with this bill (bull).
                    1) track ammo purchase activity of law abiding citizens
                    2) create a revenue stream to charge for permits/certificates and tranfer fees as well as sales tax on all incoming out of state purchases (no more avoidimg the 9%extortion tax.)
                    3) criminalize (generate more income) ill informed citizens who unknowingly break the law.
                    4) no more private party sales

If you guys get a minute, read the bill- are we in the twilight zome or what? Amazing at what levels CA. Is going to stop gun ownership. No other state has anything remotely close to this. The state won't stop here either, they will continue to slowly but surely nip at our rights. There should be a clause to state if the crime rate doesn't drop 3 years after this bills intro then the Bill expires.

I also feel of this bill was voted on by the people of CA it would not have passed hence why they sneak it through a few days before our independence day holiday. How ironic...

Basically this allows stores like Turners/Big5 to screw me on ammo prices. A brick of a 100 round of 9mm there is $60, the same brick cost $25 at Cabelas.

There's still plenty of time for gut and amend.
