      I would also recommend Appleseed. Inexpensive, great training!

        Appleseed sounds like a lot of fun. I'd like to give it a try in a few more years when my son is old enough to start shooting.

          That's a great gun to learn to shoot with. My advice is to get a 22lr pistol, then refrain from buying anymore guns for at least a year. Instead get a range membership and learn proper stances and shooting techniques. Work on becoming a better shooter. After a year, you'll know exactly what guns interest you. You won't end up with a safe full of guns that were shot only once or twice. The important thing is YOU WILL KNOW HOW TO SHOOT.
