CZ 452 or 455. Mine is a 455 and the groups touch. amazing. CZ makes excellent rimfires and I think once you handle all the steel and pretty wood you get in a small package, you'll be impressed.

I have handled both. I really like the savage rifles better. I think that the fit and finish is better on the CZ's but the price point, accuracy, trigger, and aftermarket parts are much better for the savage. Out of the box, Savage .17hmr will usually hit 3 shots in a dime with good ammo as well.

I'm really impressed with my Savage BVSS. The CZ's are very nice, look for Marlin to make a big jump into this market soon. Heavy barrel, accu-trigger and the works.

              Cz from here....http://www.whittakerguns.com/

If you want to go simple...

The Special Military. It has the same action and barrel as the other CZ's but a Beech stock. Price is mid $3oo.

i bought a savage 93r17 with a scope for i believe 305 with dros and tax at basspro like 2 years ago. couldnt be more happy with it and love the accutrigger kind of makes it a 2 stage trigger and has a crisp and clean brake. if i ever buy another hmr rifle it will be a stainless bull from savage.

It may not be as nice as the savage rifles, but I like my little Marlin 917 VR.

If I did it all over again today, I'd get the Savage with the accutrigger. With that said, I have an earlier Marlin 917 and I dropped in a Rifle Basix trigger. It's a rabbit death machine.

I love my Savage 93R17, picked it up for $150 OTD used. After being sighted in the rifle is quite the tackdriver!
