That Savage 93R17 BTVS (its stainless) is one of the best 17 deals going. I've been shooting one for almost a year and still can't get over what a sweet shooter it is.
I saw them a couple weeks back at Sportmans Warehouse in Rocklin (Sacramento area) for something like $339.Comment

I mounted a Mueller APV scope on mine. Very clear glass for around $130.

I know this is a really old thread but had a quick question without wanting to make a new thread regarding the same info. Anybody found that the 93R17 BTSV the thumbhole stock version of the savage has a really short length of pull. I tried one out in .22lr yesterday and given I'm not a huge guy and it seemed really short, almost youth short even for me. Just curious on your guys opinion that own any version of the savage .17'sComment

I have a 93R17 BTVS. I'm 6' 1" with the arms of an Orangutan. I haven't noticed that the LOP seems short. I find it quite comfortable. It's one of my favorite rifles.I know this is a really old thread but had a quick question without wanting to make a new thread regarding the same info.
