    10/22 trigger

I have the Kidd 2 stage 6oz trigger and love it!
My son did the Kidd trigger kit and he got a very good single stage pull.
Many years ago I had a Jewel BR 10/22 trigger. Very nice fully adjustable trigger but extremely rare now.

One of my 10/22s has a Hornet trigger I purchased about ten years ago and it's a great trigger. Very nice. I recently did my stock trigger myself after watching some youtube videos and it's pretty simple with stone and a file. It feels about the same as the hornet in pull but I have to get it out to really test it to see how it actually handles. My reasoning was that if I messed it up I could just buy a Volq sear/hammer kit. I have a SS 10/22 in jail until Friday and I decided to get out the old trigger assembly and try my hand at a home job before dropping some dough on power custom, VQ, or KIDD parts.

Another vote for the Kidd single stage trigger @ 2.5lbs. Add a bolt buffer and a new bolt handle with guide rod and springs, and you've got a gun that looks like a 10/22 but functions at a whole different level. Yes, you will have just put more into the gun than you paid for it, and it will shoot like a dream.

kidd trigger job. 80-100 bucks and better investment than that raptor stock. get a boyds for super cheap and the extended mag release is an ok upgrade in my opinion. a good barrel good trigger and good scope with a decent stock and you will have a completely diff rifle. why bx25? you want a pinned mag thats too long for the bench? get a bx15 so you have something to grab and pull out

Hmmm, has anyone shot or owned both the kidd trigger job kit and the brimstone tier 2?

I have the Kid Trigger Job Kit. I'd highly recommend it. I decided to go with it instead of Brimstone to save me the effort and expense of shipping.

I would keep the metal housing. Even if you decide to get a different group the metal is old school and some people want them.

I have both the vq and kidd single stage. I prefer the kidd trigger better.

I'm debating on what trigger to install, currently it is stock trigger w/metal housing I was thinking of selling this to get into a volquartsen or Kidd? Maybe a bx25?

Should I sell this metal trigger pack or send it off to brimstone for work?

If selling what is a good asking price?

                    thanks

Currently have an order out for:

                    Kidd ultra light weight barrel
                    TS extend mag release
Raptor stock (not the sci-fi looking one)
I'm partial to the metal housing, but I'm admittedly old school. My trigger group is all Ruger, except the oversized trigger, hammer, and dsconnector pins. 1lb 15oz after I stoned the sear and hammer. Good enough for me so I can concentrate on my shooting skills rather than dealing with the crappy stock trigger pull.

Some drop in parts may be hit or miss when installing them in the metal housing, especially if they depend on tight tolerances. Kidd drop in parts specifically may have an issue with allowing the safety to engage. They may work most of the time, but if you encounter that problem, Kidd will tell you to get the tupperware housing, since those have known tolerances.

I have a Kidd SS 1.5#. Shoot mainly golf balls and dirt clods.
No matter your choice, you will get what you pay for. After you install your barrel, checked to see if your barrel aligned correctly. Many factory receivers cause a barrels misalignment to the left. Highly recommend a visit to RimFireCentral.
