Indeed. They had metal ones back in the day though and those were (almost) perfectly fine.

I agree with with guys who say don't get the clear mags. on the wood stocks they fit too wide and don't drop when you hit the mag release. There is a company that make mag couplers they work great two 10 round mags back to back. I can't remember the name but they were L&E or L&L or something like that.Comment

I'd say stick with the Ruger 10 round rotary mags. They work great.
The 25 round mags are basically impossible to find in California. They are illegal to import, sell, buy, manufacture here. They are legal to possess if you manage to get one somehow, however, afaik.God, Guns, Guts, and Sea lions.Comment

The only fallback to them is that if you're out hiking about they're a little bit rough on shoulder carry and if shooting prone, be careful about fouling them in the dirt.
Definitely worth the money for a thirty round count set of magazines.Last edited by nickel plate; 02-12-2017, 9:47 AM.Comment

I forgot to mention; I ran across the issue with the clear mags not dropping, while doing timed fire during Appleseed shoot. Other folks had same issue.

check out youtube
There is a guy who shows you how to take some slop out of the mags. you kinda kittie corner what i belive is the mag release. factory ten rounders are usually the tightest and most reliable. to answer the question you can buy the ten twenty fives at Big 5.Comment

You can open up the mag area of wooden stocks so the clear mags will drop easily. You can also dye them other colors using RIT dye. There's a thread on rimfire central about coloring them.Comment

I think they make those with steel lips now. I just stick with factory. I like the flush fit.
Yup... somebody had to say it...
...except for those Thompson outfits. They really NEED a stick to look right.Last edited by Fishslayer; 12-19-2015, 10:42 PM."He is your friend, your partner, your defender, your dog.
