Good affordable scope

I'm a fan of CenterPoint scopes. They're economically priced and have a very nice feature set. I got mine from Amazon but, as you point out, Wally World carries them too. I use a 2-7x32mm on my CZ 527 Carbine and a 3-9x32mm on my Ruger Mini 14.

This. The only down side is weight. My 4x16-40 IR is heavy but the glass is very clear.

The Weaver Kaspa is very nice too

+2 for this one: Redfield Revolution 2x7x33, had mine for about 3 yrs. now. Had it on my AR15 for a while till I upgraded to a better scope. Have the Redfield on my .22 now.

Take a look at Swift. They use the same high quality multi coated Schott glass as the Zeiss and Leica, they are designed in the US and manufactured in Korea.

if you can, cough up the dough for a Leupold, Pentax or a good Bushnell.

I started with the Center-fire scopes and they worked fine, still have 2, but not mounted. They are a little large but they do have some nice features for the price. I started having eye fatigue with them (I'm old).

I haunted the pawn shops until I found two Leupold 4X M8 scopes. These are older style, but Leupold still covers them under their no BS guarantee. They referbed one of mine for $0. I think I paid about $120 each.

^ optics very close to 4x32 Nikon I have on another .22. AO is really nice for a .22 that rarely shoots beyond 50yds. Zeroing it the clicks are right on, no POI change in first 300 rounds.

The price made me think it would end up on a kids plinker, so far I'll keep it.

I use a cheap $20 Barska 4x32 and a $40 BSA Sweet 22. I don't want to spend much on rimfire and these have worked well for me. I'm so frugal that I transfer the Barska to all my other rifles and re-zero every time I go out.

In your budget I would get a Vortex Crossfire II Rimfire scope or the Nikon 3-9 rimfire scope - if the rifle is a .22LR. If it is a .17HMR or .22WMR I would step up to the Nikon EFR rimfire scope, Weaver EFR rimfire or the Clearidge Ultra RM. Rimfire scopes that don't have an AO have the parallax set at 50 yards.

I have one on a savage that I love. 4x-14x, so you can shoot golf balls out to 100 yards.

Not my personal experience but one of my brothers from battalion was using an Airsoft Acog scope on his 22lr rifle. He swore up and down that it held zero and was durable to abuse. He said he used Airsoft sights on his 22s. When I shot his rifles, accuracy and precision were on point.

Nikon I have several and the glass is great. I also have a Cabela's Rimfire Scope that is surprisingly good. Watch for sale pricing.
