    I tried:

CCI Blazer-the older good stuff, normally 1/2" at 50 yards in other rifles.
    CCI Mini Mags-both 36HP and 40FMJ
    CCI Std Velocity
    CCI Subsonic
    Wolf Match Target
    Federal Gold Medal Match
    S&K Std+
    and others I cant remember

Wolf MT and ME, and S&K Standard+ are my two stables and pretty consistent between lots out of my CZ; they will be the ones I try first. Sorry to hear yours didn't work for some reason, but would love to see results from your new barrel! Kidd is still considered to be one of the top 10/22 manufacturers and they will take care of you. If they ever tell you what happened with that 20" straight taper I would love to hear about it.

I was a nervous wreck with my CZ 455 before since I had replaced the factory stock, pillar bedded the rifle and installed factory varmint barrel myself, and afterwards the rifle wouldn't group very well. But then I took it to an indoor range and printed tiny 1-hole groups, and realized it was "the Indian and not the bow" with regards to reading the wind at the outdoor range... This is why my first function and accuracy test will be done at an indoor range for this Kidd.

My CZ 455, just for show:

Another shot of my new Kidd and its big brother 6.5 CM rifle. Waiting on a new case for the rifle then it's off to the range I hope...

Will hopefully get to shoot this rifle this weekend! Definitely itching to do so but just don't have the spare time...

Finally squeezed out a couple of hours this morning to try out this rifle. Pressed for time so only shot 150 rounds through it (100 Wolf MT and 50 SK Standard+). No hiccups out of the rifle at all; everything worked smoothly. Below are three rimfire central 25-yard game targets I shot at 25 yards. First time shooting this game and with no rear bag was an interesting challenge to say the least, but I love this rifle! Can't wait to take it outside to really stretch its legs. All poor showings on the targets were my fault, not the rifle's. This range didn't believe in air conditioning and we were all cooking inside... By the way, target 1 was just getting used to the game and blowing off the rest of my Wolf ammo as quickly as possible because the range didn't allow Wolf ammo:

Nice. Look like it shoots way better than mine!

What is the status with yours? Did you get it back from Kidd yet with the new barrel? I anticipate yours will shoot beautifully as well. I thought about putting a Lilja barrel on this build but later decided not to. If I was building a bench .22 LR I may have, but this rifle is more than capable for rimfire comps as is, as long as I'm able to shoot it to half its potential.
