I grabbed 20 boxes, (1,000 rounds), of CCI Standard Velocity in the nice plastic 50 round, "Christmas 2016", boxes at Cabela's yesterday for just $3.99 a box with no limit. They had hundreds of boxes of the stuff on the shelf, with no one standing in line to buy it. That just under 8 cents a round. Not bad considering the same stuff was going for a dollar or more a box just before the holidays.

I think they thought it would all sell out and it didn't. We're almost halfway through January, and you can still buy .22 ammo in Christmas packaging. That should tell you something. By Summer I'll bet the price drops another 20% or more. Remember, people have been stockpiling this stuff for over 5 years. (The Sandy Hook shooting took place on December 14, 2012). That's what started all of this.

Sounds like its cases of federal automatch which is likely $250 per case or $25 per 325 round brick. I'm selling it for 220 per case

    That's incredibly cheap if true.

If you are in Chico. Down Range had 30,000 ish rounds of Auto Match at 22.79 a box. (I think) it was under 23.00. according to the guy behind the counter. Started out with 200,000. They had some CCI and other brands, but I did not get the price.

So has the Sportsman's Warehouse by me. In fact the only place I now know of who still has a limit of any kind in place for rimfire ammo is Wal-Mart. It doesn't matter because they never have it anyway. Unless you want CB Shorts.

I think after the Christmas holidays, you are going to see .22 ammo drop across the board.

Yeah they probably stopped making them when they stopped making 375 round bulk packs.
I want to say I bought mine late 2014. Maybe early 2015. Gander is where I got mine. Definitely a unicorn.
