I have one for my XD9, works fine with ammo recommended and some that wasn't recommended.

Are conversion kits still legal? I was trying to buy one for my .44 DE (wanted to convert to 50ae) and no one would ship it to CA

As I mentioned above my XD 22 conversion was 100% reliable with the recommend ammo (mini mags) and some other 22 ammo I had that wasn't on the recommended list.

I think there were some issues with the Glock Conversions which turned people off, but again I never had a problem with mine.

You might try a Google search for reviews of the Advantage Arms XD 9 conversions, reviews for other pistols I wouldn't consider relevant.

They also make kits for the 1911 platform as well.

Even if their website shows an item out of stock email them, I found they might have some there and they did respond to my email inquiry.

Oh yeah, a 22 mag conversion might be nice also.

Got it today, range Thursday.There are ammo types they recommend and others not so much.Fortunately I have several brands to try and since I'm cheap there are remainders of Big 5 around here.
I'll try all of them and keep record of FTF, FTE etc.

This will be interesting. I have been looking at these for a while.
But do I really need another 22 Pistol?
