I found a stash of that at someone's house maybe 7 years ago. Shoots fine in a bolt gun but the rounds I found, the bullets had swelled at the case mouth and they will not chamber in a semi-auto. Hopefully yours don't have that problem but like I said, they will still shoot in a bolt gun with sporting chamber.

Shot a box of 50 at the range yesterday through my M&P 22 pistol. Flawless so far,and lots of snap too.

Check the lot number then Google it. Some of that stuff was recalled for possible double charges.

I remember when we would buy .22 at the Long's Drug in Greeley, CO. My brother and I would spend hours either cutting X's or drilling out the tips to make "hollow points" before going prairie dog shooting. Farmers would pay us $0.10 per, there were so many ruining their fields. We could cover the cost of the ammo on a slow day!

When I moved to a new house six months ago I discovered a case of Winchester Wildcat 22 in a holiday cabinet when cleaning out the garage. It still had the price tag of $125.

In '09 the Ace Hardware in Salina, Kansas not only sold ammo but had two full aisles of reloading supplies!

The Ace Hardware in Truckee sells guns and ammo. Or they did last year at least.

Winchester Super-X was $9.99 for 500 rounds. I use to buy a brick as often as I bought toothpaste. You threw one or two in your cart and didn't think twice about it.

Gemco in Riverside used to have guns and ammo I was to young to buy ...but I remember hanging out in the section day dreaming......a few years later when I was old enough ace hardware was the best place for 22lr......snap I almost forgot Woolworth in Riverside's Tyler mall had ammo

I have a brick of it as well. And probably the same age. I went to shoot some and it was so inconsistent. Every shot sounded different.
