    Found Hidden Treasure!

So I'm helping a buddy of mine move some junk out of a crawl space in his house that he moved into around 2001.
I look around and I see this box of Winchester ammo out of the corner of my eye.
Turns out it's a brick of Wildcat 22LR!
My buddy threw it in there nearly 15 years ago and forgot about. Apparently it came with him from Texas when he moved out here. Funny thing looks like the Targets in Texas sell ammo, at least back then they did.
It looks like it's pretty good shape so I'll take a few boxes to the range tomorrow and maybe I'll keep the rest for a rainy day.

The Pittsburg target in around 88 sold ammo.

In '09 the Ace Hardware in Salina, Kansas not only sold ammo but had two full aisles of reloading supplies!

So did the local pawn shop. $17.95/lb for Bullseye, $12/1K for Wolf primers... I drove what amounted to pretty much a rolling bomb back to Kalifornistan...

15+ years ago Walmart in milpitas use to have a twice annual sale on Winchester white box ammo. 1,000 9mm rounds was $42. I bought 2 cases and at the height of 08 I traded a case to Gary at Gun Vault for $400 in credit.

I found a stash of that at someone's house maybe 7 years ago. Shoots fine in a bolt gun but the rounds I found, the bullets had swelled at the case mouth and they will not chamber in a semi-auto. Hopefully yours don't have that problem but like I said, they will still shoot in a bolt gun with sporting chamber.

I remember when we would buy .22 at the Long's Drug in Greeley, CO. My brother and I would spend hours either cutting X's or drilling out the tips to make "hollow points" before going prairie dog shooting. Farmers would pay us $0.10 per, there were so many ruining their fields. We could cover the cost of the ammo on a slow day!
