TRAP55, I believe you can shoulder up to about 10x after that you need a bench rest. If you know you are going to hunt and only shoot off your shoulder don't waste your money on a high powered scope. If bench shooting is your thing you might want a high powered fixed scope. From my experience spend as much or more then you can afford on your optics.

Anyone that can shoulder and hit something with this heavy sob, is a better man than me! Bipod, sand bags, or my portable shooting bench is the only thing it gets shot from.
Last scope I had on it was a 6-18 Nikon with a Duplex reticle, and it just didn't work for my old eyes. The "old" Tasco was NIB, and didn't cost much more than the rings did. With a clean bore, no crosswind, and the target dot reticle, it'll do dime size groups pretty easy if I do my part.
I have to second SB1964 on the Mueller, I was just going to order one when the Tasco deal fell into my lap.
