If you happen to be in a gun show and can find an older Countersniper scope, you should get it. They're not cheap, but certainly not in S&B price range.
They were these ultra elite government overruns used by our special forces and will serve you well.
Since they're overruns and nobody really knows too much about them, they sell for much cheaper than they're worth.
Here's a link to the one I suggest.

"The counter sniper scopes I wouldn't put on an air soft rifle for the simple fact they won't hold a zero. If there is any tactical law enforcement or military with these scopes on their rifle, they are putting anybody in danger for the simple fact of that first shot may hit, but every sub sequential shot after that will throw, it won't be correct because the scope will not hold a zero."
At issue, authorities believe Bonis was importing scopes from China, called counter sniper optics, and taking off the markings, and pawning them off as his own.

I have it on good authority that Osama Bin Laden was in fact bludgeoned to death with the 56mm objective end of a Countersniper scope. Say what you will about it's ability to hold zero at a distance, but it reigns king of CQB.U.S. Navy (Retired) 1994-2015Comment

Anyone have any suggestions on a decent/inexpensive rifle scope aesthetically similar to the one shown? Obviously not a Schmidt & Bender and not a Barska. Something like an illuminated Leupold, Nikon, Burris, Bushnell, etc. maybe with a sunshade. Reason being is I'm planning on spray painting it anyway so i don't want to ruin a top dollar optic.Comment

The thing is, that in either instance, regardless of how friendly/unfriendly the posts are, the bulk of the people responding are trying to give serious advice. Unfortunately in this particular case with the only stated requirement being about aesthetics... that's a little hard to do.Comment
