I'm thinking I want a Harris Bipod, for a AR15, w/ a long bull barrel. Probally w/ short legs. I was thinking of getting ones w/ notches on legs instead of the one w/ a thumb screw. If I'm shooting off the slope of the hood of my pickup, or uneven ground, is there enough movement in the swivel on top of the bipod to keep the gun level by compenateing for the distance between notches on the legs? I'm confused about what the different letters stand for relating to the head of the bipod. Which bipod should i get, and where is a good place to order it from.

Brownells or MidwayUSA. Get the S-BRM Harris 6-9. I also recommend getting the pod-lock. -
thanks, both those places are out of stock. I just watched a video on that model. I take it the pod lock, is a hadle in the back that relaces the nut underneath for tension? Any ideas on where else to buy from? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lfRkjW8wfdAComment

Check out www.t-nuts.com, I got 3 from them for all my Harris Swivels for the same cost as 1 from the Tacticool suppliers. GREAT quality, GREAT price.Comment

Triad tactical has had good prices on harris bipods in the past. I bought one from them.Comment

Even Amazon has bipods.
Here is a "harris bipod" search.
And here's an (overpriced?) Pod Lock competitor

The larue QD mount is nice(the version they sell pre-mounted to the harris), unfortunately the knob they use sucks balls. A big wheel right under the stock that is difficult to get a decent grip on to turn and lock the thing down, not sure what they were thinking(they could have at least put some ridges on it instead of leaving the side smooth). If it was a smaller diameter and had spokes or something it'd be way better.Originally posted by InsanePropane+1^
LaRue QD mount. Harris-LaRue. Never go backComment

The "big wheel" can be replaced with a Pod-Loc making it much easier to use. One thing I do like about the LaRue is since they replaced entire mounting block, it helps keep the legs close to the rifle. The larue QD mount is nice(the version they sell pre-mounted to the harris), unfortunately the knob they use sucks balls. I'd recommend this one:
GG&G’s XDS-2C Tactical Bipod with its shorter stance and distinctive features is great for shooting from a prone position or off of a bench. Click or call 800-380-2540 for details on this XDS-2C Tactical Bipod.
Swivel's and cants. Nice and short. Pretty heavy, and no "quick deploy", but it is still pretty fast and rock steady. I love mine. 2 month wait for one now....Comment

I tried to go to this site to order some for my Harris, and instead of loading the site it leaded a page that said "Stop! You have been banned from this site, the store owner has been notified" and said something about protecting against malicious attacks.
