    Nikon P223 3x32, I have one and it is a great short to medium range scope.

    Here is one under $100:

        Kelvin232 has no idea what he is talking about.
        BSA= Back Slowly Away
        Not wanting to insult or start a fight with you but you must have a very limited experience with scopes/optics to base your statements on.
        I had a NIB BSA scope. It was bad. Cost me $10 plus postage to return it for another one which was bad out of the box also. Repeat the $10 and postage stuff.
        Received a 3rd scope with a repeat of the last two. One last time before scope becomes a target. Send more money and postage and get one that is working ---for now.
        The rifles is a heavy barreled Rem 700 with a tack driver Douglas SS Barrel in 223. Not a big kicker.

        So the "reasonable" priced BSA scope cost me $70+ more than the "reasonable" purchase price.
        I could/should and in the future will just buy a better quality somewhat higher priced scope such as a Weaver/Simmons/Burris/Redfield etc

        The best warr is one you do not need. Especially 3 times with payment/shipping on NIB scopes.
        Trashco scopes are not better. I bought 5 NIB scopes and 3 of them were bad even before mounting. They also wanted $10 plus shipping each to "
        Look at them" to see if they were bad. They are not right when the reticle is flopping around in the tube and rattles when you shake them. What a joke.

        A 30cal will reach out and touch them. A 50cal will kick their butt.

            Correct,

            Also, you get what you pay for, a cheap scope will break or not hold zero, then money wasted.

                Numrich has the Nitrix by Weaver Optics TR One 3-9x42 on clearance for $119.00; it is normally 329.99 and it gets great reviews. I ordered one for my 6.8 I'm assembling.

                    "Good" and "entry-level" doesn't compute for me especially when you don't mention what gun it'seems topping.

                      OP already stated his rifle is a Ruger Mdl 77 in .357.
