Good scope will cost you more than 150 bucks. What you can get in that range is economical scope

Weaver v3. I have run two of them on AKs, ARs and a bolt carbine. Lots and lots of rounds. Never ever a problem. Read the reviews.

Quality rifle scopes including LPVO 1-6x, 1-8x variable power, and long-range optics. Primary Arms ACSS reticles, Vortex, Leupold, and more brands.

Depends on what you want to do with it, really. For an SKS, more than about 4x really is overkill, since it's about a 300 meter rifle, maybe out to 500, and I'm assuming you are shooting cheap surplus/wolf/tiger/tula/PPU ammo, so you aren't looking for tiny groups.

If you are handloading Norma brass or something weird, you might want more scope than that, but I really couldn't see why.

Also, for just a little bit more:

There is supposed to be a 7.62x39 version of this coming out fairly soon:

Primary Arms features our own line of AR 15 and AK 47 parts, accessories, scopes, optics and red dot sights.

+1, the little Weaver is a rock solid reliable but light weight little scope that's perfect for the job.

For a 1-6 power there is a decent BSA at Midway for $150. I have a BSA sweet 223 6-18 power on my 20". It's quite good for the money. I paid $54 for it at Natches.

Lol there is no such thing as a good BSA. Id get a decent redot for an sks if you want an optic. The Bushnell TRS25 is less than $100.

Actually, the BSA 1-6X24 from Midway is a pretty decent scope. The turrets a slightly mushy, but that's about the only negative thing I can say about it. The glass is really good, reticle is pretty decent and unlike a lot of the current crop of 1-6X scopes, the BSA will go down to a true 1X and will do it without curving the entire image into Walleye vision.

It may be decent compared to a simmons, but its still a bottom tier optic.

Since the thread is about decent scopes for about $150, those BSA's fit the bill. The OP isn't looking for a $2000 scope.

I would get a bushnell elite used off the classifieds myself. I have a bushnell elite 3200 3-9 on a stevens model 200 .223 that is capable of shooting sub half moa groups, and I picked the scope up off clasiffieds here a few years ago for $140.
