I have been hearing a lot of good things about the fenix lights.
sigpicIf you loan someone twenty dollars and never see them again, it was probably worth it.

For a handy and weapon-mountable light I am really liking the Surefire G2-LED with a clicky tailcap and the Malkoff Devices drop-in LED.

Just got my Fenix TK11 and I am very impressed. Good rugged construction. Brighter than I expected and a great price. Thumbs up for Fenix

i love my surefire L6 digital lumamax. it is a bit expensive, but its the most durable, dependable illumination tool ive ever used. definitely not for your average EDC'er. one of, if not THe brightest LED that surefire offers

its nice to know you have a flashlight that can take bullet hits from a .45 ACP and still be usable afterwards :P

btw, if you want a good deal on batteries, go to www.batteryjunction.com all major brands for around 1.50 a piece

          here's a pic of my L6

Inova T3, i once accidentally dropped one of those 30 feet down to a metal deck in an aircraft carrier. it still worked perfectly and nothing but a few scratches on them.

Fenix T1 is great for the $

I just got a Fenix T1 and for the money (about $67 shipped) it is pretty darn good. And their customer service is decent too, the light I received had flat batteries so I just emailed and they shipped me a new set, no problem. The light is very well constructed, looks pretty solid.

The regular mode (60 lumen) is plenty bright for most uses, and the high output (225 lumen) is very bright, miles better than my 3D-cell maglite.

Thanks to Maxicon for the advice on the light too, much appreciated.

I don't think I can say enough good things about the Surefire E2D LED. 120 lumens and two hour runtime, or 5 lumens fr 76 hours.

Interesting concept. It solves a couple of problems of hand-held vs weapon mounted lights while still keeping your hand relatively free, though using your weak hand for something like opening a door or replacing a mag is going to shift the flashlight's direction.

I like the idea of the versatile mounts (pocket, holster, belt, hand). It's not particularly compact, and probably not as quick to get into action as a traditional light, but that's a tradeoff for the innovative handling system.

It would really take playing around with it some to get a feel for how it works in a real life bump in the night situation. It's not cheap, and most people are going to want to hear some feedback on quality and effectiveness before dropping that kind of money. It's a plus that it's made in the USA from mostly American components.

There are a few threads on it over at www.candlepowerforums.com - if you search, they'll pop up.

If you get one, be sure to post about your experiences!

About a year ago I was thinking about lights and drew a plan for something just like that, then found those online about 2 months later.

It's a solid idea for someone who's going to have the extra 10s to grab it with their gun or for someone (LEO) that can wear is all the time.

There is an 8% coupon but I won't just give it to you. I'm going to make you join candlepowerforums to get it.

I've also ordered from light-hound before and have had great experiences if you need other stuff as well. But, for only fenix, fenix-store is where its at.

CPF forums also has a coupon for lighthound.

You might want to wait for the tk11. Its an upgraded tk10 that will take 18650 batteries as well as traditional cr123a batteries.
Word! Tk11 with 18650's will own all. Fenix lights are seriously the best bang for the buck..they're the affordable versions counterparts to Surefire.

I tried my buddies TK-11 today and was fairly under-impressed. I thought 225 lumens would be a lot brighter.I was just about set to pick one up. Am I missing something?
