The only problem with the Sparc is that it needs a rail to mount to.
By the time you add the rail to the Ruger mounts and the Sparc even with the lowest mount you're pretty much at a chin weld with the Mini.

I have the Sparc and it is a good sight but not the greatest for the Mini.

I did manage to put together a GG&G mount and Fastfire sight combo, $212 for both w/free shipping, and frankly I like it better than any scope I've tried to date.
And I've had everything on that Mini from 3-9x40 to PA red dot, 1-4x Burris AR Optics and scout mounted Burris Trophy red dot.

That's a great price. Be sure you got the right GG&G rail. The Burris can be mounted directly to the Mini red dot rail, but you will need to buy an adapter from Burris if you purchased the standard rail. I made that mistake by not reading the fine print.

If you have the newer Mini with the ring provisions on the receiver, you can use the Burris 410332 base:

with the FastFire II or III. That's as low as you're going to get. it eliminates the need to attach to a rail.

Okay this looks seriously cool, I just bought the GG&G mount but I had to order one to see how it compared.
              We'll see!

I received the Burris Mini-14 mount today and mounted the Fastfire on my Mini.

As with any of the Ruger type mounts this thing is a rock once secured.
The Burris mount is essentially the front portion of the GG&G mount but seems to sit just a bit lower.
All in all I think I'll be staying with the Burris mount, it is by weight and feel like not having anything at all on the rifle.

                    Mini owners really ARE different.
sigpicC'mon man, shouldn't we ban Democracks from Cal-Guns? Or at least send them to re-education camps.

Did you end up going with the Burris Fastfire III and the GGG base?
If so how's it working for you?
