got the Vortex Viper PST 6-24 in FFP 20moa weaver base, my question is if i made a good decision on rings. Right now I have some leupold PRW 30mm high rings(unopened and returnable). Seems like 50mm bells require high rings but if anyone has any suggestions or have gone lower with this scope/base setup it would be appreciated. Ring height is 1.09in on the highs and the mediums are .97in. Thanks!

i have a Vortex Viper 6.5-20 x44 and i had the weaver medium rings. they were too high so i used the low rings. fit perfect. they are set atop of a weaver 20 moa base as well on my Remy AAC-SD .308.
i did notice on the weaver base that when the front was tightened down, there was a small gap on the rear of the base. make sure you bed the mount to the receiver to ensure perfect fit.
also, lightly lap the rings before you mount your scope to not leave any ring marks...
your 50 may only require the medium rings as my 44 required the low rings.
hope this helps.
