Scope for a 10/22

not to sidetrack teh thread, but could someone explain what designates a scope to be a "rimfire" scope?

My Nikon 3-9X40 Prostaff Rimfire BDC150 has a bullet drop reticle specially tuned to 22 ballistics. That makes it a "rimfire" riflescope and I like it like that.

I'm not very familiar with WMR (2000fps/50gr?), however, it seems the ballistics are somewhat superior to 22LR. I'm not shooting anything much over 1200fps and the BDC holdovers are still pretty close. In the $130 price point, I have to say, the Nikon glass is surprisingly bright and clear. My 3-9X scope also has a generous "eye box", even when at max 9X magnification. I'm mostly bench rest paper punching from 50 to 100yrds.

I'm not familiar with WMR, however, if the ballistics are similar to 22LR, I don't see why not? There are 2 other scopes in the Prostaff Rimfire line too. The a model above mine that has an adjustable objective for parallax compensation and the other is 2-7x with target turrets. In the sub $200 price range, Nikon glass is surprisingly bright and clear.
