does anyone know if UTG rails are any good quality or just some cheap immitation made by airsoft manufactures?

If you're on a budget, UTG stuff are the best from China.

Some of the stuff you see on Airsoft websites, mounts and rails, are made by UTG. Some of UTG products are good quality. China manufactures will sale their products to anyone who will buy them. That includes Airsoft websites and many of the name brand companies in the US.

The UTG quad rails get very good reviews from people who own them, and get bashed by people who don't.

There are a number of threads on them over at arfcom, but in general, they're the best new rails you can get for under $100. You can get used MI or YHM for $100 or so if you shop around.

Botach sells a Chinese rail under their KZ brand for around the same price as the UTG that's also had decent reviews, but there's a lot less info on them, and you have to deal with Botach. Interestingly, Eotech is now selling the same rail for nearly twice as much as Botach does.

Will an Eotech branded Chinese rail give new cred to Chinese gun gear?

Don't buy them. Period. There's a hilarious thread from a while back (now locked) where a member was bragging about how great a deal he got, and how everyone who paid $200+ for their rails were ripped off. After he got unbanned for trolling, he later posted another thread complaining that he couldn't fit accessories on his uber awesome rails .

Spend the extra $20 and at least buy YHM rails.

I'd be interested in the 2nd thread too. I've never seen anyone complain that stuff wouldn't fit on theirs, but more data is good.

I'm not sure I'd give much credence to that guy or his posts. Lots of suggestions in the thread (including other people having problems with fit on other rails), and no response from the OP.

I have some UTG rails on mine. Haven't come loose or had problems with them (I've put a couple hundred rounds with them on). I'd probably be switching out to some MI rails later on though. Though I really do not like the rail covers, they're just too "bulgy."

I just bought a UTG quad rail for mine from cheaper than dirt. They fit/work/look awesome. Real happy here.

UTG Utter tacticool garbage.


lol, i have an ak mount at the shop that never got the dovetails machined... high quality stuff.

i guess if your just lookin for tacticool stuff it might work, but if you ever have to rely on your rifle...
