I agree with the above it gets pretty complicated which is why I went cheap and Nikon. I got a milmaster to help-out with the calculations but MIL in the reticule seems better suited to getting a size of an object in the field and a known distance. The Spot-On application from NikonHunting will tell you basically what each dot represents distance wise once you load in bullet type and Sight in range. You're sighted in at 50 yards normal t-mark is 50 yards next MILdot is 250 yards next mildots 349 yards so on and so on. Also as an example only....Average mans chest is 18 inches across 1 mildot = so many inches at so many yards. If it takes this many Mildots to go across his chest you are this far away. As for the knobs their 1/4 inch at 100 yards on my Buckmaster so pretty simple there.
