    Millett TRS-1

I was just wondering if any of you guys use the trs-1 most reviews i have read have been good...soldier of fortune gave it "2 thumbs up" for a tactical scope under $500 saying its the best of the breed in it's price range....I know the dms is great for the price. Whats your take?

I would like to know too please. Aside from being a variable scope, how would it compare to a Super Sniper 10x40?

The TRS is more scope for the money than the Super Sniper. I don't like a fixed power scope.

So far I've only mounted it and thought I would have to zero it in at 50 yards. It was dead on, but I only had time to shoot 100 yards.
First impression, glass is very clear for a $275 optic at 100 yards, the 1/8 MOA clicks suck (no problem shooting from the bench), 1/4 would be a lot better and it is a little on the heavy side. But certainly one of the better buys out there.

I'd personally save up a few more $'s and get this:

Nice scope and it only a $100 more at $380.....I think i might have to get sniper central's tactical rifle package with the menace scope upgrade. Damn

Would the TRS-1 be too long for a 16" AR?

Probably so, if it's got a standard FSB. I bet it wouldn't even fit with the 3" sunshade attached.

Damn, I was really about to buy this scope as soon as SWFA got them back in stock. Sorry to hijack this thread, but what would be comparable in price and specs to the Millet TRS-1 that would suite a 16" AR?

The Falcon from a few post's up is a good alternative. It is 3" shorter than the Millett, you dont get an illuminated recticle but it has FFP.
