There are fakes of several good Scopes coming out of China, just look at dealextreme or pandawill.

Because good optics are expensive, and saving a buck is something everyone likes. Not saying a good idea, but there's your answer.

Still not a good answer you never know what your buying or who your buying from and with all the scammers on Craigs list why even bother. You have no protection or recourses to take should you get scammed, Thats not saving $$

If your going to buy off Craigslist, do your homework first. It is mostly scammers there, but I have scored the occasional deal.

Craigslist can be an excellent resource, however, you've got to know your equipment and it's details. If the deal seems too good, there's often some problem.
