The Burris Extreme Tactical rings have a pretty good reputation. But, you do get what you pay for.

Interesting. If the screws won't fit on one side with the gaps even, it sounds like either the screws are different lengths or different head diameters, the countersunk holes in the top ring half are preventing the screw head from going in far enough, or the holes in the bottom half for the threads are drilled/tapped differently.

Which kind of Burris rings are they? Do they have inserts? I've also heard good things about Burris rings, even inexpensive ones like the Zee rings, but only have a pair of their Xtreme rings. I haven't mounted them yet, but they seem pretty solid.

All their steel rings only have one screw per side, according to this:

In any case, the gap shouldn't be too big. Checking a few of my rings, I see that the gap is only about 0.05" max when the other side is flush. All the 3200s have 1" tubes, don't they?

Some more details would be great, and pics if you get a chance. Now I'm pretty curious about what's wrong with these.

The problem is the bottom half on one side has the threads cut at a angle.
The hole is on a angle so the threads are also.

I will buy good rings.
