How does this model compare to the IOR 4-14x 50mm? It's a little over $400 difference between the two.

Mueller has been reviewed a couple of times with good results.

I don't expect it to be equivalent to the IOR but it's $600 cheaper and $150 cheaper than the sniper scope.

In general, you get what you pay for.
If you have a specific budget, then we can help you choose.
Don't go comparing scopes that are more than 25% difference in price though and expect to get as good of a scope at 1/2 the price.
It's just not going to happen.

If you want a cheap scope, buy a cheap scope.
It will make you realize how much better a good scope is later.
Then you will spend the big bucks and get a good scope.
If you want to avoid the learning process, just buy a good scope first.
Good scopes generally start around $800.
