Owned both and pitched the Aimpoint for the EOTech. A Delta operator convinced me.

I also have both and i prefer an ACOG. But if i have to choose between those two. I'll choose the Aimpoint.

I LOVE the EOTech - I started out with them, and TRIED to make them work for me, BUT... astigmatism made the blurry little holograph worse. That's MY problem, NOT the EOTech's, but there you have it - it DIDN'T work for me.

I've gone to Aimpoints now (I run a Comp M2, Pro, and T-1 on three of my rifles, and an old Comp M (the first Comp - with about 12 hours battery life! ) on my dedicated .22LR tactical trainer,) and the 2 and 4 MOA dots work much better for me. Smaller the dot, the smaller the bloom for my old bi-focaled eyes now.

BOTH are excellent kit, and I wouldn't feel 'inadequate' with either - if my eyeballs worked correctly. Mine don't, so I go Aimpoint.

        YMMV.

I prefer the EOTech for the sole reason that their reticle is more interesting to look at. It also helps that they are, on average, a couple hundred cheaper than Aimpoints too.

I'm a civilian hobbyist who has range toys, super crazy durability and everlasting batteries aren't really a big concern to me.
