I just got a used C79 in the mail.
The condition is tip-top but like most older tritium illuminated scopes, the illumination is very dim.
It was nice and clear with it's post and lines reticle in daylight but once night fell, with lights off and my eyes dark adjusted, I could see the green triangle at the top of the post and I could make out details across the room that just looked like shadows to the naked eye.
This sucker gathers a lot of light.
It's still heavy and not a variable power scope but it's better than what I was expecting.
