If you've got the money for a PSS, you've got the money for a decent Leupold, Valdada, Burris or Nikon scope.

How hard is it to shoot and dial in a mil-dot ? The super snipers are more in my price range right now. By the way, I purchased the PSS for 400.00 NEW. Neighbor just recieved DUI a couple weeks back so he sold it to me for lawyer bills.

308 PSS for $400..... does your neighbor have any more of those?

          Get a Leupold Mark 4 PR or Mark 2 3-9x w/ Mil-dot, around $4xx, if you can't afford the $1000 Mark 4 MR/T or LR/T line of scopes.

Mil-dot is the way to go, imho..... very nice and easy to use (once you figured it out).... zero'ing it is just the same with it or any other crosshair.

Not trying to be a d*ck but Tasco hasn't made the Super Sniper in over 10 years. It is made by Riflescopes now.

Bushnell Elite 3200 10x Mildot - $200 retail, and even less with dealer discounts.

Better than the Super Sniper in my opinion. $100 more for the SS gets you a 30mm tube. $200 more for the SS gets you side focus. Personally, I don't think the 30mm tube or the side focus is worth the extra $100 and $200 respectively.

The only thing 30mm tube gets you is more adjustment, but the Bushnell 3200 Elite 10x has 90MOA on the elevation - so 45 up or down from factory center. This is more than enough for 1000 yards in .308, especially with a canted base.

As far as the side focus, there isn't really a need for it if you plan on shooting at 100 and beyond all the time. Once your reticle+image is focused appropriately for 100 yards, it's going to be the same focus setting beyond that, so there's no need for the side focus for 'easy' focus. The only reason I see anyone trying to use the side focus during shooting after the focus is already set is to try and check the mirage. But at that point, you should really be using your spotting scope for that.

Super sniper has about 152 elevation and 147 windage according to a review I read.

+1 on ocabj's recommendation if you can't afford the $4xx Leupolds.

IMO, I think Bushnell Elite 3200 10x Mildot is "clearer" than a SuperSniper. The SS may seems to be built more rugged, but in terms of clarity of the glass, I think both the Leupy and the Bushnell Elite are "clearer".

I don't personally think that's a good price. That particular model of SS is being sold @ $299 brand new, why do I want to pay $270 for a used one?
