    Finally got my GRSC

Finally, after over a year on the wait list, I got my GRCS. I guess its a lucky break on my end. When I read at ARFCom that a couple of hundred scopes arrived, I called the designer Ed Verdugo to have my phone # updated. He reminded me that priority goes to military and LEs first, I knew that my que was way far behind, and that theres no way I can get the scope from the batch that came in. But lo and behold, couple of weeks later and he called me up and told me he's got a scope for me! he was unable to reach most of those who were ahead of me and the others could'nt wait any longer and purchased a different scope. Anyway, I was able to zero it last week and have to say this scope is awesome. For the price ($390ish) this scope is a real deal, and well worth it.

Its not the glass, its my camera thats crappy.

Great news that Ed finally got some in. I was on the waiting list 3 years ago and finally got the Burris XTR. At least Burris is getting a license for the reticle from Ed. I hope he can get the 1-6 on the market. That is the one I really want for my old eyes. He is a great guy. I hope he can sell a lot of them. I really love the reticle.
If you can't shoot good, at least look good shooting

Wow. I haven't been on ARFcom for quite a while. I am shocked to see the guy still working on this project.

Thanks for the pics. How is the illumination? Is it daylight visible? How about at high noon?

He's actually working on the 1-6x version, last I heard protos may come out this year for eval.

No, even on its brightest setting, its not daylight visible, The pic I posted was taken at mid day in our backyard on a cloudy afternoon. But I have taken this at the range and the reticle was black on a clear sunny day.
Its not really a big deal for me though, what I like about it is its front focal plane feature. You can use it as somewhat a red dot at 1x or go to 4x for precision/accurate shooting.

Update: I guess the original battery was not as fresh as I thought.
I Changed the battery last night, I forgot to turn off the ilumination dial the last time I went to the range.

The red ilumination is daylight visible.
I was at the range today, had the dial set to #3 and the red ilum is bright enough.
Now I'm not sure if under direct sunlight the ilum will still work, the range I go to has a covered/roofed firing lanes.
