    C-more sight on flat top

This is my first visit to this forum, so if this subject has been beaten to
    death...forgive me.
I have a C-more sight which was previously mounted on a glock.
I rarely see them mentioned as being used for ar-15's.
As I am building this on a budget spread out over time, would it be a
terrible thing to mount the C-more on the picatinny rail?
The thought being that I'll have the optics right away and then can
decide what to ultimately do with my ar .
And also, on that subject, any suggestions as far as mounts?
    Thanks for any info.

I have a buddy who drinks C-More cool-aid like its a gift from God. I like them but I know no optic is perfect (Unless it says Aimpoint on the side...LOL). From what he told me Plastic C-mores are prone to breakage. I have seen them used on AR15s at the range. I think most people who have ARs use Aimpoints, and those of us who can't use Aimpoints use EOtechs, C-Mores or Trijicons.

^ Pure conjecture, I say. Especially mighty biased towards Aimpoint...

      Anyways,

I have a CMore that I got for my 2011, but while I was still building it up I put the CMore on my rifle. The dot is very nice, and the adjustments couldn't be more fluid and simple. I really love it, but it doesn't look half bad once mounted. I'm not sure who manufactures mounts, but I had the railway version, which came with a picatinny mount. I emailed LaRue yesterday asking what it would cost to make a QD CMore mount, I'll report back here what they say.

Oh also, CMores now come in aluminum casing flavor as well.

Hey, if it's good enough for John Connor...

        LOL

Is it as good or durable as an Aimpoint or Eotech? No, but it will get the job done until you can upgrade. I have a buddy who ran a C-more on his AR for years before finally upgrading.
