    does eotech remember brightness setting?

    Hi, quick question.

Just got a new eotech xps2. One thing that is annoying is that the eotech seems to default to the brightest setting every time you power it on. is this normal? I would think a $500 optic should remember the last brightness setting you had it at.

    thanks for your help

thats how it was on mine

not a big issue for me. the standard brightness is right "in the middle" for practical use.

No it doesn't but a couple tips:
      * pressing the up versus down button to power up will start you off at a higher or lower default brightness setting, so at least you can start closer to where you want to be
      * if you have a NV capable Eotech, you can toggle in/out of NV mode to save batteries ... in which case you'll come back to your desired brightness setting

^What he said. Also, on my Eotech 517 pushing up or down when you start the sight sets the automatic shutoff time to 8 hours and 4 hours respectively.
